The Bud
The Bud is a versatile good wave shortboard designed by Tom Carroll and Max Stewart in 2018. Since then it has gone through the paces of trial and error to produce the design you see here today. The surfboard has a modular outline, slightly fuller in the nose than other traditional shortboards. The Bud features our signature quad concave entry blending into a slight single and finally double concave and subtle panel vee off the tail. The nose rocker in The Bud is considerable blending into a subtle tail rocker..a little less than a standard shortboard. The combination of the pulled in rounded thumb tail and the concaves in the tail and mid section of the board creates a drivey, yet responsive all round shortboard that excels in waves shoulder high and above.
